Graduate Students
I will be reviewing graduate student applications for admission to matriculate in Fall 2026 at the University of North Texas. Applications are due December 1st, 2025 and can be submitted via the UNT program website.

If you are looking for helpful resources for preparing your application (or deciding if you should apply in the first place), I recommend Dr. Mitch Prinstein's Uncensored Advice for Applying to Graduate School in Clinical Psychology.
A note on pre-application contact: While I appreciate the efforts of students to email me or request a meeting prior to applying to my lab, since I cannot meet with all potential applicants, for the sake of fairness, I will not meet with any applicant outside of the formal interview process. That being said, I look forward to receiving applicants from potential students with shared research interests and vision and answering further questions beyond what can be found on my lab website during the interview process!
Undergraduate Students
The T-ID-BS Lab welcomes undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students who are seeking to gain research experience before applying to graduate school. As a research assistant (RA), you will have opportunities to contribute to various stages of the research process, from study design and data collection to manuscript writing and poster presentation.
Please email Dr. Sam Spencer ([email protected]) your CV and a brief description of your research interests if you are interested in potentially joining the lab as a volunteer RA.
